In order for ECSPP to provide its members with a relevant influential platform,
it is essential that ECSPP :
• be recognised as playing a central role in promoting Europe as an investment location;
• carries out the strategies democratically agreed by its members;
• actively participates in events and activities which could have an influence on strategies and policies of the EU;
• provides the platform from which its members can maximize their influence in the strategic development of the chemical industry in Europe.
Since ECSPP will not actively involve itself in lobbying activities, it will work closely with strategic partners who are best positioned to undertake these activities.
Current Partners
• ECRN
ECSPP has agreed the principles of a strategic partnership with ECRN. Discussions are underway on potential joint initiatives addressing the common interests the two organisations’ members.
• CEFIC
ECSPP and CEFIC have agreed to explore opportunities for information and knowledge exchange.
• EPCA
ECSPP is working closely with EPCA to implement a programme of actions as follow-up to the EPCA-sponsored European Chemical Cluster Supply Chain Think Tanks in which ECSPP was actively involved and the results of which were presented during a keynote address by Professor Michael Porter at the EPCA Annual Meeting in Berlin in September 2007.
