Bayer Antwerpen NV was founded in 1961 as the first chemical company in the northern port of Antwerp and is "Pioneering on the Schelde" The company manufactures high-performance plastics and plastic products for the group Bayer MaterialScience. Bayer's products are used in all areas of daily life. The flagship is polycarbonate (Makrolon), which CDs, DVDs, roofing of stations, stadiums and greenhouses, automotive and computer parts, motorcycle helmets and ski goggles, etc. are manufactured.
