Based on salt and gas the Chemical Park Delfzijl produces salt, chlorine and chlorine related products like soda ash, cPVC, amines, strengthened fibers, methanol, resins, formaldehyde. Next to this cluster are a number of specialty and performance chemical companies located.
The availability of labor attracted plastics and rubber companies to the region and in the Emmen cluster engineering plastics (Nylon 6.6), PET, fibers and strengthened fibers, are processed.
Both locations offer utilities such as steam, industrial gases, waste water treatment and facilities as maintenance, fire brigade and security.
Both locations are connected to the European market by road, rail and inland water ways. All necessary permits are handled and coordinated by the regional authority. |
